Terumo BCT – Zaventem

Layout and design of 3,000 m² of open-plan offices.

The first step: furnishing

Meeting rooms, executive offices, lounge areas, bubble rooms, cafeterias, reception areas—so many spaces for our teams to rethink, conceptualise and furnish.

The operational and executive desks were chosen to be electric for maximum ergonomics, with the base made of panels to create a more intimate space under the desk. Ergonomic chairs The models offered are the Giroflex 161.

It is important to allow employees to alternate between working at different heights and having lunch. That is why cafeterias combine high tables with standard tables. The seating is from the Kastel brand, specifically the Kicca range of chairs and stools, which are available in a wide range of colours.

Next comes the renovation phase.

Acoustic solutions have been introduced in office spaces, including carpeting and acoustic partitions. A soundproof module has also been installed, allowing informal meetings to be held without complete isolation thanks to its echo-absorbing material.

The final stage: implementation of the finishing touches

Demolition of existing structures, installation of flooring: carpeting and PVC slats on raised flooring, construction of melamine and glass partitions, sandblasting of windows with stickers, painting, electrical work. All of these tasks were handled and coordinated by our finishing team and interior designers.

When words fail to convey the mood, images take over.

This gallery captures the essence of the project: carefully designed atmospheres and furniture selected to harmonise with the surroundings.

In November 2016, Terumo BCT decided to completely redesign its offices (3,000 m²). The layout and furniture dated back to late 2004 and were in serious need of updating.
The question then arose as to whether to refresh or completely redo everything. After contacting Wooh, it quickly became clear that we needed a major change. We therefore decided to place our trust in Wooh, and work began in May 2017. Everything inside was demolished so that we could start from scratch.

We proceeded floor by floor so that staff could continue working in the same building. It took about six weeks per floor.

The Wooh team has always worked in perfect collaboration and with respect for the Terumo BCT staff. As always, there were things that did not go exactly as planned, but Wooh always knew how to deal with them and always came back to us with solutions. We were never “alone” in having to make a decision.
I would therefore like to thank the whole team, and especially Marc, Charlotte and Christophe, who were always there to help us carry out our project the way WE wanted, while providing us with all the necessary information and advice. The aim was to create a long-term project and not have to rethink everything in 1-2 years. Thank you to the Wooh team for their remarkable presence throughout this project.
